Department of Unrepresentative Samples
So I started reading Steve Pinker's New York Times Magazine article from Sunday, the first sentence of which is:
Which of the following people would you say is the most admirable: Mother Teresa, Bill Gates or Norman Borlaug?And my first thought was "Borlaug, of course!" Clearly, not the response Pinker had in mind.

I too thought Borlaug, but that's only because Deng Xiaoping wasn't in the list...
